Frankly, I love my mac, because there is some stuff it just rocks at. That said,there is some stuff it just sucks at.
We hear lots of mac fanboys moaning about PCs. We hear lots of PC fanboys moaning about Macs. Amongst all this whining, there is not enough realism about the day-to-day experience of mac / apple ownership.
For those who are wondering what Apple hardware i have, I own a 15” MBP unibody (3 months old), and an iPhone 3GS. I have a Dell PC laptop and my main machine at work, is a PC, both running Windows XP.
By trade, i’m a web developer. In this regard, i’m more of a programmer than a designer, but the edges of these blur nowadays anyway.
I’ve always been a PC man, but realise the benefits a Mac and OSX affords me in my creative endeavours, specifically with Serato Video SL, Ableton, and suchlike things.
Anway, I just want to say, it’s not my goal to wind people up, just to put some balance out there…
I’ll do one at a time… and I’ll try my hardest to keep the love / hate ratio up there :)
