text 29 Apr Apple Fanboyism in Effect Mode…

No monobrow-90s Rnb here, just something i noticed recently.

Case One
An iPhone 4 is found in a bar (or whatever the story is), it is torn to shreds by gizmodo, but generally levelled information is given out on the device, battery, camera, buttons etcetera.

It doesn’t work and doesn’t charge, but this is presumed to be because its been locked remotely.

Some comments are made how the camera app was crashing but thats probably because its a prototype, so thats ok.

Case Two
Nokia N8 prototype is leaked, and is REVIEWED as if its a launched device by mobile-review.

Gizmodo felt as though it would be perfectly fair to repeat the words of mobile-review, in calling Symbian^3 ‘an unpolished turd’.

The device they reviewed is a prototype.  When gizmodo talked about the iphone camera app crashing, they let it slide, its a prototype, why is Nokia not granted the same grace?

Nokia themselves even reference this situation to rapturous silence.

What they probably don’t realise is that this kind of thing is capable of harming Nokia without giving people a moment to try it out for themselves.

Microsoft’s Mojave Experiment showed how easily people are shaped by what they hear.  We still hold on to much of the misinformation we heard about Vista.

As an additional point, I’d like to point out that while Jason Chen’s home was raided, I would suspect that Eldar Murtazin is probably safe.
